Our client is a well established global Tier 1 automotive parts supplier and this is a new position to drive continued growth.

Reporting to the president you will drive the global sales function by building, managing and maintaining sales, customers, project management, and sales teams. Results will be achieved by growing the companies’ market share, brand awareness, revenue and profitability consistent with strategic global company goals.

Responsibilities: (not limited to)

  • Execute a global sales strategy and business plan, including forecasting and budgeting sales and opportunities that drive corporate goals and revenue growth expectations.
  • Provide strong leadership and management of the global sales function, setting a unified direction for the team and ensure priorities are clear at all times.
  • Achieve a sales funnel with the ability to forecast and measure performance from lead generation to close and managing details in SalesForce.com.
  • Provide detailed, comprehensive quotes on prospective sales orders, and set pricing in conjunction with finance and operations and in accordance to corporate policies.
  • Develop and maintain customer relationships, negotiate, and close sales opportunities.
  • Monitor global competition and market changes and provide strategic and tactical recommendations to the executive team.
  • Lead sales teams, providing strategic and tactical direction to support corporate objectives
  • Succession planning through identifying, growing and retaining talented company employees
  • Prepare and present written and verbal reports.

 Knowledge Base (not limited to)

                  

  • Bachelor’s degree in business, marketing or related; MBA preferred.
  • 10+ years of demonstrated experience at a senior / director level in sales management in the automotive parts manufacturing industry.
  • Demonstrated success of leading a global sales operation and developing and building successful sales strategy and teams.
  • Demonstrated experience with negotiating and closing contracts.
  • Proven track record managing key customer relationships and closing strategic opportunities.
  • Strong SalesForce.com deployment and management experience.
  • Excellent relationship and negotiations skills with internal and external stakeholders.
  • High level of initiative and sound decision-making ability.
  • Must be able to travel internationally for business requirements.
